I started my business by accident.

aka. I’m the Nepo Baby of Small Business???

99% of entrepreneurs have the thought “I’m going to start a business” before they start their businesses. Me? Not so much. This is the story all about how I stumbled upon my business accidentally, but made the intentional effort to keep it going for 4 years (and counting).

In the first episode (!!) of Everybody is a Creative, I share my unique path to becoming self-employed and starting my own business—without an initial plan. Beginning with a pivotal job interview in 2019, I recount how an unexpected connection led me to freelance marketing work during the early pandemic, and a full-fledged business by the summer.

Learning to be a business owner is an ever-evolving process, especially as I work with coaches to help me define my business goals and identity. I hope you join me for the ride!

A thought excercise for you: If you were given one million pounds (or dollars, or euros, or whatever your country’s currency) to set up a business, what would you do with it?
